Group Informed consent and Terms and Conditions
Groups is a powerful and valuable place for healing and growth to occur. It is important to me that a safe environment is created where honest, interpersonal exploration will occur that will benefit all members. In order to create this environment, there are certain guidelines that need to be agreed upon by each participant.
Confidentiality:
It is important that each individual feels safe to share private information in a confidential atmosphere. It is important that every member of the group agree to uphold the confidentiality of the therapeutic setting. Members agree to keep names and identities of other group members confidential. It is appropriate to share your personal reaction and feelings about group with others, but please do not share other people’s stories with anyone outside of the group.
Attendance and Participation:
Group is most successful when there is regular attendance and participation on behalf of each participant. If you cannot attend a group meeting, please email me ahead of time to let me know you will not be present.
What to expect
Group time consists of both process and teaching time. Group will begin with a brief check-in by each group member followed by time for process time, structured feedback and reactions by other members of the group. At times the group may focus on a topic with all members verbally participating. In either case, the group dynamic offers a place where you can experience support and real time feedback. These dynamics provide a very powerful environment for change.
Remember, the more you give of yourself during the sessions, the more you will receive. The more honest and open you are, the more you allow for insight and growth.
Fees
The fee for group is $249 per month for 12 months. Payment for each session will be debited monthly. This is a 12 month membership commitment (but please have a conversation with me if a major life event occurs during our time that may impact you.)
My Role as Group Facilitator and Coach:
In Maiden’s Journey, my role is to serve as a coach and facilitator, guiding you through this immersive group experience. This program is not intended to provide medical, legal, financial, or other professional services, and it is essential that you make your own informed decisions based on what resonates with you throughout the process.
It’s important to understand that coaching is different from mental health services. While I hold active status as a licensed professional counselor in the state of Georgia, I am not operating in the role of a licensed therapist within this group. The focus of Maiden’s Journey is on personal growth, empowerment, and exploration—not on diagnosing or treating mental health conditions.
However, as a licensed professional, I am still bound by the ethical and legal responsibilities that apply to my license. This includes mandated reporting laws concerning child and elder abuse or neglect. Please know that while this group is a powerful container for transformation, it is not a substitute for individual therapy or mental health treatment.
By checking the box below, you are acknowledging that you have read and understand all of the information and agree to the terms and conditions of Maidens Journey and group participation.
